Purchased 2 F750 trucks both broke down after months

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Bought 2 new trucks F750 with dump boxes on them...both trucks had to go in with 6000kms on one and the other 20,000km...dealer I bought them from Calvalcade Ford in Bracebridge has a terrible service department...had no time to review problems with trucks and their own salesman was bad mouthing their own service department saying he gets complaints every day from pissed off customers...essentially their mechanics are not qualified to work on these trucks...I have lost $30,$40,000 on downtime with these two trucks...i called 6 other dealers to see if they were approved to work on these trucks...they all declined...then they sent me to another dealer 3 hours away...same deal there no time to look after my trucks...still under warranty...just absolutely terrible service...I have 12 ford trucks...no problems in the past...till I bought these larger trucks...never again...and by the way service advisors...should have some actual training to know something about vehicles...poor system...

Poor quality

I purchased my 2023 Ford Escape in July at the Northway Ford in Brantford. A few days later while washing my car I came across 2 paint chips.

After sending a message to the salesman indicating this was missed in the PDI he informed me he would order me a paint stick. To this day I have still not received. Today I was removing my tires to put my snowtires on when I found 3 loose lug nuts on 3 seperate wheels. I have always been informed that when the vehicle is delivered that the PDI would check the torque on the wheels.

Quite obviously this was not done. I can live with the paint chips but when it comes to the safety of my self and my family this unforgiveable.

It is very hard to support your product when Ford is not concerned for my safety. My car has a little over 3000km on it and this issue should never have happened.

2023 Ford Bronco

Good afternoon, I just recently purchased a 2023 Ford Bronco and it was explained to me that a lot of the newer models being mass produced do not come with a Hard top only soft tops. Firstly for the price I paid for this new vehicle it should have been included, secondly I cant find one anywhere in Canada to purchase unless I go out of Canada to an aftermarket vendor.

That being said the cost to purchase and deliver a hard top from an after market Vendor from the U.S.A will be close to $9000.00 Canadian after the exchanged rate and shipping. When will people who purchase these high end Broncos in Canada have access to buy an OEM Hard top directly from Ford in Canada and at a reasonable price.

$80,000.00 for a brand new Ford Bronco without a Hard top included is Brutal.

Do the customers who have already purchased these vehicles from Ford get contacted first before anyone else including dealerships to buy a Hard Top when they are available. Look forward to hearing from anyone who can help with this.

Dealership complaint

I have been a Ford customer my entire life and I am now retired. My last purchase was in 2022 when I paid cash for a 2022 F150 Tremor.

I recently received the recall letter regarding windshield wiper motor. I live in the west end of Manitoulin Island. The nearest Ford dealership is Northern Ford in Espanola. Thats a least 1.5 hours, each way.

Northern Ford does not have a reputable reputation. My mechanic here on the island even told me not to go to Northern. Regrettably, I thought I would give them a try. The man booking my appointment put me on hold while he checked to ensure they had the parts.

He said they did and booked me in for today, October 20th at 1PM. I drove an hour and forty minutes just to be told they dont have any wipers.

Another hour and a half to get home and now Im going to have to get the work done at a dealership even further away. This is todays Ford service?

I special ordered two Platinum Tremor trucks and they both came to the dealer wrong

I would like to start by saying I ordered my first Platinum Tremor (2022) and had to wait 8 months to get it and when it arrived at the dealership (Koch Ford in Athabasca, Alberta) it was missing the options I ordered. The dealership said that they will order me a new truck another Platinum Tremor with the same equipment and same color, this truck a year to get.

When I seen the truck it was missing the power running boards, I asked where the running boards are and they told me that the truck didn't come with them. Yet on the option code the boards are to be included. and to add insult to injury I am still having to pay for them. Also they put on some cheep running boards that don't match the truck at all.

When I talked to the dealership about they said they will bring it up with the Ford Rep? and the information I got back was this is the truck you ordered. with the first truck it cost me $112,000.00 and then when the new truck came in it was ?124,000.00 and not including the money I will be losing on trade in value.

I would like to see the Ford Rep who takes care of Koch Ford in Athabasca to explain this to me.

I would like the to be at Koch Ford on September 29, 2023 at 1:00pm. I would like them to explain to me in person why the truck didn't come with the running boards I paid for and why Ford won't install the proper power running boards that I am paying for.

User's recommendation: Ford could careless what you special ordered and send you what they want, then to add insult they won't credit you for the option they took off. In my mind its a form of theft of my money. they are not suppling the option and not giving back my money

Extended warrant

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We purchased a 2018 Ford F150 Lariat, when we purchased the truck we also purchased the full extended warranty and at the time we were told this "expensive" warranty covered everything "bumper to bumper" and the only thing we had to worry about was the tires, even windshield wipers! Now, the flex plate is rubbing on the torque converter nuts not allowing the separator plate to sit plush.

This problem causes a very loud vibrating sound when the vehicle is being driven, We took it in for repairs and was told this is NOT covered because it is considered wear and tear! Seriously, there is 68,000 KMS on this vehicle. I'm not sure why we purchased the "bumper to bumper" very expensive warranty only to be told that "wear and tear" is not covered!!

This does not make any sense to me, we didn't pay that much money for oil changes and the odd windshield wiper. The repairs to this plate is $1400 plus tax and Ford Canada is refusing to cover it,

2018 Edge 85000 km and motor needs replacement. Coolant leaks in #2 cylinder and apparently warranty ran out in June. Ford knew about this problem, which I didn't when purchased car used from dealer and only had 3 months. Dealership and Ford Canada won't step up and resolve this problem. Why should I pay to replace motor when Ford knew of problem. First Ford and if no help be last Ford I will ever purchase. So step up and satisfy your customer!!

What happened to Foird CHAT?

During the past year I've been using Ford Canada Customer Service CHAT to check on the status of my 2023 (rolled over to a 2024) Maverick order. Now all I get when I click the "start chat" icon is "connection unavailable" message. Does anyone at Ford Canada know what's going on with the CHAT? My Dealer has never had any information as to the build status during the past 13 months of my order, and at least with the chat I could inquire once a month. Now I have nothing.

Excessive amount of time for air conditioning repair at Terrace Lincoln/ Burlington, On.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

June 4th, 2023 I brought my 2016 Ford Explorer XLT to Terrace Lincoln to repair my air conditioning !

Today(July 20th/23) I had to take back my vehicle, because my rental was due and the rental was not

Comparable in size or had no tow package! We needed my vehicle for our trip to the cottage!

Unfortunately

the AC has not been fixed yet and still waiting for another part that wont be available for 3 weeks! So my

vehicle may be fixed in mid August! I have been very patient and understanding parts availability and how

big the repair is! I finally have the service department calling me, as opposed to me calling, which was the case

earlier in the process!

They did explain the situation, but a repair that takes over 2 and a half months, in the

middle of summer, is excessive! I gave this dealership a great rating, my last visit, but it seems with the new

ownership and new employees that it has been a less than stellar! Im not sure what my rights are or I have

anywhere to turn too, but Im considering an outside source! Now, dont get me wrong, my wife and I love

our 2 Ford products, but we have 2nd thoughts of purchasing another!

Being a former Air Canada customer

service manager, Im very disappointed with a few of the Ford dealerships in our area! I have wasted a lot of

time, getting rental cars that are not a Ford product and too small for my needs! The 1st rental car, Honda HHR,

was nice, but small and I volunteered to bring it back and saved the dealership some cost! It did have AC though!

I have both the PremiumCare and Ford Maintenance Protection Plan and aware dealerships usually make less

doing the service, but work is work!

Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated!

After my repairs are

finally completed, I will not be using Terrace Lincoln in the future! Either will my wife!

Dealerships are awful and Ford can't help

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had a 2010 Ford Edge and loved it, when it was getting older I went back to Ford to get another one. One dealer never returned my call, the other held me hostage and wouldn't give me back the keys after sending me out with a junior associate for a test drive who knew nothing about the car.

They low balled me on my trade in, so I left and got a GM. Wrote Ford who said they can do nothing about the dealerships. So lease is up, I look at Ford again as I missed the Edges drive. Got another idiot salesman that lied continually about what I was getting and sent me pics that weren't even of the car I was getting.

Long story short the computer screen died, not even a year old, and I took it to another dealer closer that had it for 99 days. All this time I've been telling them the heated steering wheel burns your hands and the heated drivers seat does the same, there is no LOW setting it burns. Every time they put the machine on it and say its working that's all they undertstand is the machine says its working. Today I scheduled an Oil Change possible air filter change and told them about the heated seats again and steering wheel.

Also asked about the brakes, there is a problem, a serious thump when braking and I've only drove it a year and a half. So I wait ALL day I get there, they say yet again the heated seats are working fine they heat up, nothing they can do about the steering wheel. Oh and the brakes are under warranty (obviously they've had problems) so they turned the rotors which means I'll need new brakes soon. All no charge to me, I said what about the oil change, what oil change, I said that's why I made the appointment, blank stare.

Yep they didn't even change the oil. I said who do I contact at Ford about this, Go to the Ford website I'm told, which is fruitless even the online chat after filling in all the info, not available at this time try again.

Without Vehicle for 6 Months Waiting for Warranty Repair; Vehicle Undriveable (TCM)

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Consumer Complaint

Vehicle: 2013 Ford Focus SE

VIN: 1FDP3F20DL328066

Issue:

Without Vehicle for 6 Months Waiting for Warranty Repair; Vehicle Undriveable (TCM)

In late August 2022 the above-mentioned vehicle would no longer start.

After spending almost $900 on ignition repairs, we were told that the TCM needs to be replaced.

We have been waiting SIX MONTHS for repairs and there is no eta for repairs on the horizon.

Not surprisingly, the owner of this vehicle depends on it to get to work.

A discounted-cost loaner was offered from the dealership, but the cost would be $2100 per month.

The vehicle cannot be driven.

The vehicle cannot be sold in this condition.

The vehicle cannot be traded in, in this condition.

For the same discounted cost for a rental that we were offered last fall, we could afford to lease and insure a 2023 Bentley Continental.

Request:

1.In recognition of the tremendous imposition, inconvenience, and torment created by Fords inability to complete a known problem, under warranty, waive the $858.56 already incurred for repairs to the ignition system.

2.Recognizing that potentially Ford is experiencing supply chain issues in obtaining the necessary part to make the vehicle run,

a.Provide a loaner / rental until the vehicle is repaired.

b.Provide the loaner at absolutely no cost to us other than fuel.

Background

September 2, 2022:

After a tow to Sherwood Park Ford, and vehicle diagnosis, the ignition switch and ignition lock cylinders were replaced.

Cost: $581.36 for parts and $277.20 for diagnosis. Total: $858.56.

Work was approved to proceed.

A loaner vehicle was provided by the dealer.

September 6, 2022:

After the ignition repairs, on testing at the dealership, a code for TCM fault was thrown.

The dealer advised that the TCM needs replacement.

The parts were ordered although we were advised they are on back order.

We were also advised that TCM repairs specific to this code would be covered under a warranty extension by Ford Canada.

We were told to continue to use the loaner vehicle until repairs were complete.

November 16, 2022:

The dealer advised that the loaner that was provided had been sold and must be returned with no other loaners available.

Advised that a rental could be provided at a discount, which would cost $70/day, or $2100/month.

November 17, 2022:

Loaner vehicle was returned to Sherwood Park Ford

November 18, 2022, to today:
