I would give zero stars if it were an option. My $50,000, 2022 vehicle has had multiple issues, from brakes, electrical, drive train, to interior cosmetic issues.

They have no interest in figuring out how to solve my problems. I've had to take it to my small-town garage to find out what's wrong. The leather on my seats is cracking. I've owned the vehicle for 2.5 years!

It has passed the 60,000 kms (because I drive into the city for work) and because of that, none of the issues are covered, even the seats. To note, my partner has a KIA that is past its 60,000 kms and has a cracked leather seat, and they didn't even hesitate to offer a replacement. Ford could care less about providing a quality product and does not stand behind their product. No customer service as well.

With the drivetrain/braking issue, I took it to the dealership. They drove it around and could not get the intermittent issue to present itself. They did not remove the tires to look at the braking system (I know this because when I took it to my small-town garage they did, and said that it was obvious if the tires were removed.) The dealership tried to charge me over $150 for a diagnostic fee for just driving it around and not actually doing anything! I can go on, but the point is that I thought it was just the dealership providing questionable service, but when I called Ford Canada they had the same kind of response that left me feeling like now that they have my money they really don't care whether I'm a satisfied customer or not.

To note, I don't usually leave reviews for anything because I find hashing it out again online to be too much focus on the negative in life, but I have to leave this because I do not want anyone else to waste their money on this company. I'm a single mother with a single income (no child support), putting one kid through university and two in high school. I can't afford to have unexpected repairs, which is why I buy new so I have a reliable vehicle.

The way I've been spoken to and treated by the men of the dealership has been degrading (of course only after they had my money). If you are on a restricted budget, a woman, or just don't want to be screwed by a company who has no consideration or customer loyalty, then DO NOT BUY A FORD!!!

Terrible response from Ford at all levels after sunroof exploded into large shards of glass

After receiving a small rock chip our tempered glass sunroof shattered completely inappropriately in accordance with tempered glass manufacturers standards. Large jagged shards of glass rained down into the vehicle across the driver and the empty passenger seat.

They also scattered across the roof of the vehicle and into traffic. The "exploding" sound was shocking and the effect was that it was difficult to keep the vehicle in its lane on a high speed thoroughfare. Ford accepts no responsibility for the manufacture defect or the design flaw that makes this vehicle unsafe. We have spoken to multiple Ford representatives at every level, the dealership and customer service and each says the same thing.

Tempered glass is made to break. Then we were told that because we have had the repair done and paid for it, at the Ford dealership, there is nothing they can do. In asking to speak to a supervisor at the customer service call in centre we were told it would be 24-48 hours.

Now it has been a week, no call. Follow up call to customer service and ask for a supervisor again, they start all over and say a supervisor will call in 24-72 hours.

I've been on hold with Ford for 5 hours now. I was driving on the highway and a sickly bird flew right into my windshield (I'm pretty sure it was a suicide).

The windshield shattered, which isn't right. It should've stayed intact except for the hole the bird was stuck in??? That's how windshields are suppose to work. Seriously WTF is wrong with Ford???

Anyways I was so shocked by the bird smashing the windshield that I ran over a small child. I didn't want the day to be a total loss so I took the bird home and had my wife cook it up. It was really delicious, she did it in a lemon pepper seasoning and we had it with scalloped potatoes and asparagus.

Unfortunately we both have the bird flu now and a child is dead. So what do you have to say about that Ford?

Ford warranty is the absolute worst! About a month back I spilled a family sized container of gravy all over my seat.

The stain will not come out. It literally looks like I shat on my seat.

Ford has the nerve to say it's not a warranty issue and that they won't cover shat stains and that I should've got leather. *** those *** I'm going to come to the dealership and shat in all the display cars.

I have IBS and therefore lots of experience with removing shat stains from all kinds of materials. I have had shat stains in my vehicle, my sofa, my bed, several chairs at the walk in clinic and the chairs by the VLTs at Lucky Buzzard Tavern.

I actually went as far as having all my furniture laminated.

I recommend blotting the stain and cleaning with baking soda and vinegar. I would also avoid eating foods that have heavy food coloring.

Can anybody tell me what is the best personal lubricant? I am hosting a get together for a new group of friends this weekend. My go to is usually a stick of butter or Pam cooking spray, but there is an air of classiness about this people and I want to impress.

Have you ever tried Beachy Basement No More? When used as a tincture it can help balance your hormones and reduce vaginal dryness, but you can also mix it with coconut oil for use as a lubricant.

So avoid it for rectal use though, it's strictly meant for Beachy basements.

I do carry another line called Grunthole Glide that is specifically for that area. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product replacement. They didn't do any steps.

They provide higher model with more price.

But we need the same budget or less. We choose online from another sister dealer in Kitchener with discount 15k by weekly finance installment $469 but they give us 8K discount with $579 by weekly.

Original review Nov 28, 2024
I contacted them over the phone but got no reply. We booked a vehicle, F150 Hybrid XLT, on August 19 at Whiteoak Ford in Mississauga, Ontario. The order number is 3793****, with a delivery date set for September 30. They didn't call or confirm until I visited there. There hasn't been any call until today; I've visited 3 or 4 times to check. Each time, I asked about the status. I waited for 2 hours and 15 minutes in the chair, only for them to tell me that they don't make my vehicle in the factory anymore. I didn't expect to hear this message after 4 months. They could have informed us a month in advance; we would have accepted that. We are disappointed. They also provided information about a different colour and upsized vehicle for 7 years of finance terms. Previously, I got 6 years at 1.99%. This is more within my budget. I lost so many offers and other brand name vehicles. If we cancel the agreement, we may face legal action. But if the Ford dealer cancels after 4 months, what do we do?
Please clarify this situation and provide a good deal for me.

Thank you,

While travelling at high speed on a major city thoroughfare our sunroof took a small rock chip (according to Ford) and shattered into large jagged shards of glass raining down into our vehicle across the driver and passenger seat. Similar large shards were scattered across the vehicle's roof and into traffic.

Safety standards round tempered glass would indicate that this was a manufacturer defect or a design flaw or both. The driver had difficulty keeping the vehicle in its lane as the shattering was accompanied by an exploding sound making it shocking at the least. We have approached Ford at the dealer level, customer call in centre, and social media consultant. We have asked to speak to a customer service supervisor and were told that a supervisor would call in 24-48 hours and a week later we have still had no call.

We called the service centre again and had to start all over again. Every step of the way we are being told that tempered glass is made to break.

This is an irresponsible and unsafe response. We are angered, frustrated and do not feel safe in our brand new vehicle.

Soaked drivers mats on 2015 ford edge

I went to get in my 2015 ford edge after working a 12 hour evening shift at my Hospital. It was pouring rain and I couldn't get into the car because the car Key fobs would not unlock the door.

I finally disassembled the fob found a key and opened the drivers door. Key fob broke, by this time I was drenched from the rain and it was nearly 1 am. After viewing a Utube video on my cell phone, I was able to start the car with the fob placed in the consol. I drove home from work then the next morning I went to get in the car only to find that the drivers floor mat was soaked with water and then spent the next 2 hours vacuming a gallon of water off the mat on the drivers side.

This was my first experience with my newly purchased ford edge. Needless to say it has not gotten better. This morning I again vacumed a gallon of water off the drivers side. This is after I had the car to my mechanic and had the HVAC system cleaned and drained a control arm & ball joint replaced and safety inspection done on the car.

I came home in the rain and It started all over again. I have had the windsheld replaced and made certain that it is not leaking however the on going water damage is extensive I called Steele Ford, on windsor st. here In Halifax only to have them tell me that everything was fixed on this car, well it couldn't have been fixed right or I would not be having these problems it is so bad you can't put it through a car wash without it leaking water in on the drivers floor mat. The ford dealer sends me a recall notice for this car to fix a bolt on the shifter.

Well I am reluctant to take it in to them given the problems I have had with this car. The first time I took it in for a wheel alignment they sent me a video complaining of rusty lug nuts.Which you and I both know is bull, this car has capped lug nuts so some one twisted it off. when I suggested that I was told they were torqued too tight. I spoke with the mechanic at bancroft automotive who changed my winters tires and he told me the lug nuts were torqued to spec.

I am also aware that the Ford Motor company stopped sale on the 2015 ford edge until the water issue was resolved.

I am a 70 year old working registered nurse at Nova scotia Health authority and nobodys fool, this is obviously a Ford Motors Problem and I want the problem resolved and not at my expense. I have owned many ford cars and a few trucks one of which was a Ford Ranger, best vehicle I ever owned . I bought a Ford because I always trusted your vehicles despite people telling otherwise.

Now I have to deal with water leaking into the cab of my car and I must tell you I am getting pretty tired of wearing rubber boots to drive it, since I travel a lot for my work, I spend a lot of time behind the wheel and need to depend on my vehicle. .

Just a frustrated Nurse in Halifax Nova scotia

F150 V8 oil issues (2018)

My name is Chris La Vallee, and I purchased a used 2018 F 150 XLT September 20, 2022 with 39,101 Kms. This was my first Ford truck as I have owned 2 Rams and recently a Honda Ridgeline.

I opted to purchase the extended warranty for peace of mind.

I have not experienced any major issues with my truck until writing this. I have completed all my required service at Birchwood Ford in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada located on Regent Avenue. I have made sure to complete any recommended services required as well. My advisor at Ford and the staff have been excellent.

I had scheduled routine maintenance on November 18, 2024, at 74,614 km.

Upon approaching that date, I started to have check engine lights come on. I had checked the oil and discovered it required 6 L to refill. Upon inspection at the service centre, the cause was unknown. I am now in the process of completing an Oil Consumption test.

I have researched oil consumption issues with the V8 and discovered that this is a common issue. I understand that I am not the only customer who is experiencing this at my local dealer.

My issue is that why would this not be a service bulletin or a recall? If I did not have any extended warranty, I would be looking at an engine replacement worst case. I have discovered that that would be $15,000 Canadian and possibly backordered.

Paying $740 to have diagnostics done doesnt compare to a replacement cost. I am upset and disappointed that I could need a new engine so soon. I have extended warranty until 100, 000km or 2026 through third party SAL. I hope that this issue can be rectified but have been told this could take a year.

I have put on 35,000 kms in 2 years and have loved this truck up until this point.

I bought a V8 specifically because I was told they are bulletproof. My truck is my main camping and recreational vehicle and it's important to my family. The time it will take to complete this consumption test will take me into 2025 or longer.

I have planned a camping trip from Winnipeg to Merritt British Columbia and am considering using a different vehicle due to a lack of confidence in towing and reliability. I feel this issue will have a negative impact on customer retention and a financial impact as well.

Premium care warranty

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Ford Canada - Premium care warranty

I purchased a 2017 Ford Escape from Brock Ford. I was asked about a premium service warranty and was given a brochure.

I paid an extra 2,500 for a warranty that is useless and which I will never use. The brochure states, 'Do not worry, we have you covered.' I needed a new muffler and eventually brakes. I called the dealership in Hamilton and they said these are not covered. However, when I purchased the vehicle, I was assured that these are covered and stated in the brochure.

I called Ford customer service and exchanged emails back and forth. Their response was to wash their hands of the matter and tell me to call the dealership. I paid close to 28,000 for an SUV and premium care. I asked why I paid for a useless warranty where nothing is covered.

They just want your money. Do not purchase a premium care warranty. It is useless. I will never buy Ford again and will take my business somewhere else.

I emailed the CEO and received no answer. I was told that customer service called the dealership regarding my complaint and nothing happened. It is just a runaround, and each agent provides different answers. Come on, Ford.

This is absolutely brutal. I had to pay for brakes and a muffler system out of my own pocket.

Trailer hitch

Updated by user Oct 23, 2024

OK I bought a new f250 super dutie love the truck. Now let me tell you what I didn’t like.

The hitch size is 21/2 in vice my old f250 a 2in. I have 2 trailers with 2 in hitch, so I needed a reducer from 21/2 to 2 in, first nobody told me about the hitch is bigger Ford have no reducer so I bought one it broke, I have fancy hitch but I can’t use them so now I bought a 21/2 in hitch. I contacted Ford sales nobody called me back, I’m out about 400.00 dollars and still can’t pull my RV. Ford didn’t tell me about the hitch didn’t fix the problem and ignored me.

Ford should have provided a proper reducer, you don’t even sell them not what I expected, I’m sure I’m not the only one. So what is ford going to do about my problem?

Original review Oct 21, 2024

I bought a new F250 Super duties nobody told me about the larger hitch 21/2 vice 2 in. I call back to the dealer they had no ideas, they figured it was included but its not.

Ford dont have reducer they cant order one. I finally bought one from Amazon ball all car part store dont carry it rather. So I had to rig the one from Amazon that did not fit flush. I contacted Ford Canada they had no idea.

What am I supposed to do? Ive had ford truck never had a problem with the hitch, yes somebody drop the ball a reducer should have been included

Unsatisfactory service at dealership

I booked a recall appointment and gave then the recall number. Please make sure the part will be in, no problem they said.

A week later I dropped my car off for the appointment, they took my car, jeot it 2 hours, then messaged to say the part has been ordered and I can pick up my car. I drove 39 minutes to this dealership, left my car for 2 hours, had people pick me up and drop me off, only to find out nothing had been done.

Before this I was considering trading in bothe my Ford cars and getting only one new one, but after this unsatisfactory customer service. I would not go back to Southlake for anything Sarcastic

A/C issue on F150 KINGRANCH never repaired while under warranty now I am told the repair is my responsibility to pay!!

The truck had A/C issues from new taken to local Ford dealership for repairs. Issues never fixed or resolved.

Contacted Ford Canada was told go ahead and have repairs completed. If there was a program or recall in the future I may be reimbursed. Very poor customer service.

No concern for customer driving 2 summers without A/C! I believe FORD has seen the last of my business!

Long story short, I have had my f-150 Lightning for 6 months and 4 out of 6 the vehicle has had various electrical issues and currently dead at the dealership for over a month and Ford has no clue how to fix the truck.

Pros: When the truck works, it is an amazing vehicle

Cons: When it does not, Ford Motor Company is not your friend

Many calls with Ford Motor and I have given up on them fixing my truck. The last word is, they have the new part (after replacing many) but they cannot program the unit as the software has issues.

Poor quality

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I purchased my 2023 Ford Escape in July at the Northway Ford in Brantford. A few days later while washing my car I came across 2 paint chips.

After sending a message to the salesman indicating this was missed in the PDI he informed me he would order me a paint stick. To this day I have still not received. Today I was removing my tires to put my snowtires on when I found 3 loose lug nuts on 3 seperate wheels. I have always been informed that when the vehicle is delivered that the PDI would check the torque on the wheels.

Quite obviously this was not done. I can live with the paint chips but when it comes to the safety of my self and my family this unforgiveable.

It is very hard to support your product when Ford is not concerned for my safety. My car has a little over 3000km on it and this issue should never have happened.

2023 Ford Bronco

Good afternoon, I just recently purchased a 2023 Ford Bronco and it was explained to me that a lot of the newer models being mass produced do not come with a Hard top only soft tops. Firstly for the price I paid for this new vehicle it should have been included, secondly I cant find one anywhere in Canada to purchase unless I go out of Canada to an aftermarket vendor.

That being said the cost to purchase and deliver a hard top from an after market Vendor from the U.S.A will be close to $9000.00 Canadian after the exchanged rate and shipping. When will people who purchase these high end Broncos in Canada have access to buy an OEM Hard top directly from Ford in Canada and at a reasonable price.

$80,000.00 for a brand new Ford Bronco without a Hard top included is Brutal.

Do the customers who have already purchased these vehicles from Ford get contacted first before anyone else including dealerships to buy a Hard Top when they are available. Look forward to hearing from anyone who can help with this.
